He Does Exist!!

Tonight, for his Young Men's activity, Zachary went swimming at the Legacy Center. He had a great time until they went into the locker room. That's when he discovered that there really are Grade A jerks in this world. Someone stole all of his clothes. Pants, shirt, socks, boots, coat, his watch, even his underwear. He had to run barefoot through the snow and ice wearing just a bathing suit and a cold, wet towel to get to their cars. It is so bitterly cold tonight, too.

I felt so badly for him. I am upset about the loss of the clothes, but even more, I am sad for his realization that there really is evil in this world. He was so sad. Stuff like that can always be replaced, but not his childhood innocence. Maybe this will be a good experience for him, maybe he'll learn more about forgiveness and compassion.

I guess, the only way I can make myself feel any better is to convince myself that whoever stole them must have needed them more than he did. Yeah, sure....

Grrrrrrr....can't believe that one. And they probably laughed about it.

That is so sad! It was super cold last night too. Poor guy! I hope he has another coat he can wear. Today isn't the kind of day you want to go without one. I would hope these jerks get caught.

I am sad to hear that happen. Hopefully this will be one of those experiences he looks back on and has grown from. I can just see him freezing outside...we were cold just sitting in our house. Give him a hug! He's a trooper. I hope today is a better day for him.

Amber, I remember when my mom's purse got stolen from her car, we had no money and a broken window. Our home teachers came over and they prayed for those who did this. I didn't understand why? Then my mom said that they will be held responsible and we did our part to help them the only way we knew how. I was around 10 years old but it still rings very true today...honestly, don't let it bother you...laugh at the situation and don't be a victim :P Hope it helps :D

They probably needed the clothing more. My very favorite jumpsuit was stolen from the apartments laundry room dryer and the next week...I saw a young woman wearing it!!!

Poor Zack. That is awful that someone stole his clothes. Good thing his wallet wasn't in the locker too!

when Tyler told me about this I felt sad and upset about it. You are right the things can be replaced, but he will have a hard time trusting. I hope he is alright today.

How lame. I can't believe someone would do that.
