On Friday the 14th, at about 4:30 pm, Zachary came up from his room and asked why his carpet was so wet. I ran down to his room (in the basement) and discovered that water was everywhere. Zack got home about 10 minutes later from work. Our wonderful home teacher and some friends came rushing to our rescue and within about 15 minutes all of the furniture, toys, carpeting, and padding from the basement was out in the garage or on the driveway. It turns out that water was coming up from underneath the house through every teeny-tiny hairline crack in our flooring. We just couldn't keep up with how fast it was coming in. We now know that it was from a broken pressurized irrigation pipe up behind our home. So at least we don't have to pay for the repairs. Also, because it was a weekend and it had our names on it, no one was able to come until MONDAY morning. Awesome. Just thought you might like to share in our joy, so here are some pics.
