OK, I know I am a bit biased, but Zack continually amazes me with his vocal talents. This past Sunday, he and a few other men sang a song originally performed by the BYU Men's Chorus. It sent chills up and down my spine. Part of this was due to the words of the song. The words are found in 2 Nephi chapter 4 (roughly, verses 16-33). It is Nephi's testimony put to the song, "Be Still My Soul". Please take a minute or two to listen and follow along - I've printed the words at the bottom. It is definitely a day brightener.
The chills were also due to how unbelievably fantastic they sounded. The harmony was so fun and the basses sounded so rich! Oh, and my sweet Zack sounded so good! HE IS AWESOME!!! He has been looking forward to singing this song for quite some time and was really excited about it. I can't wait for his next singing opportunity!
I Love the Lord
I love the Lord, in Him my soul delights.
Upon His word, I ponder day and night.
He's heard my cry, brought visions to my sleep,
And kept me safe o'er deserts and the deep.
He's filled my heart with His consuming love,
And borne me high on wings of His great dove.
Yet oft I groan, "O wretched man am I"
My flesh is weak and I'm encompassed by
A world of sin, which holds me in it's thrall,
If I give in and to temptations fall.
Then strength grows slack, I waste in sorrow's vale;
My peace destroyed, my enemies prevail.
Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin.
Rejoice, my heart! And let me praise again,
The Lord my God, who is my rock and stay
To keep me strict upon His straight, plain way.
Oh let me shake at the first sight of sin
And thus escape my foes without and in.

Sorry I missed that! What a beautiful song.
Wonderful! Wish we could have heard it.
Love, Dad
No autographs, please.
I just wish I was "manly enough" to hit some of those low bass notes. Instead, I was scraping the ceiling, singing the high tenor part.
Those Church kids sure have great singing talent! What a beautiful song!
It really was outstanding. The spirit rushed in.
thank you so much!
What a wonderful talent. It must have brighten everyone's spirits.
Thanks, I needed that little pick me up today.
It is so amazing to me how music invites the spirit and it also makes me think about not so choice music and how it must do the opposit.
I loved it.
They did such a great job. I loved it.
